Patients and Public Involvement

There are a number of Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) activities carried out by specific groups.

The Cognitive Neuropsychology Centre have a Public Patient Involvement panel that advises on study design and regular newsletters are sent out.

The Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity have a number of methods for communication and involvement of older adults in their research. Focus groups have been established which enable the public to provide input into research, discuss concerns about cognitive health and help develop new tests to measure cognitive health. Information about research studies can be found at Oxford Dementia and Ageing Research (OxDARE). Members of the public can sign up to become a 'Friend of OxDARE'

The CRF collaborates with a number of PPI initiatives  that are in the process of forming a more cohesive resource under the umbrella of the local Academic Health Sciences Network
